Christian counseling for chronic pain and illness.
Care for body, mind, and soul when your health, or the health of someone you love, isn’t getting better. Online from anywhere, or in person in Memphis, TN and Franklin County, NC.
Your suffering is real, and you are not forgotten.
Living with chronic pain or illness touches every part of life: your work, your relationships, your sense of who you are, and often your faith. You may grieve the life you expected. You may feel misunderstood by friends, doctors, or even your church. And you may wonder where God is when prayers for healing go unanswered.
Chronic pain and illness is one of the three areas Courage specializes in, and for our team it’s personal as well as professional. Our director, Dr. Nate Brooks, writes and teaches on chronic illness out of his own family’s experience. We know illness doesn’t only affect the person who is sick. It reshapes marriages, children, finances, friendships, and faith.
We won’t offer easy fixes or suggest that more faith would make it all go away. We’ll help you grieve what has been lost, find steady hope in God’s faithfulness, and learn to live and love well in a life that looks different than you planned.
